Player Review: Daniel sees the ice very well and makes good decisions. He is a very good skater with excellent footwork. Maintains good gap control and has good defensive stick. Daniel’s style of play is described as a defensive defenseman. However, He has good offensive and puck handling capabilities and is able to bring the puck up the ice with speed and power.

He is an extremely focused, passionate and hardworking player on and off ice. His off-ice work ethic is second to none. Daniel’s focus and hard work in this area has enabled him to significantly improve his game. He is still developing and is not close to his peak.
He was offered a position with the Traverse City North Stars and the Wichita Falls Wildcats of the North American Hockey League (NAHL). The NAHL is a Junior “A” League affiliated with USA Hockey. Anthony Palumbo, Head Coach of the Traverse City North Stars felt that Daniel is ready to make the jump and that he would be a key contributor to his blue line for the 2009-2010 season.
However, Daniel decided to play his 2009-2010 senior hockey season with Orchard Lake St. Mary’s Preparatory, in Orchard Lake, Michigan for another year of physical growth, maturity and hockey development. During this point of his development he did not want to disrupt or change anything and continue down the track that he is on.
His goal after high school is to play in the Junior “A” United States Hockey League (USHL), play college hockey and ultimately professional hockey.
